About

The Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) Exchange supports the search for innovative and academic collaborators by curating STEM offerings and capability statements of MSIs nationwide. It informs partnerships for teaming opportunities and competitive federal awards such as contracts, cooperative agreements, and grants.

Originally developed for NASA in 2018, the platform quickly transitioned from an internal tool to a cross-sector resource. Today, the MSI Exchange is used by:

STEM education, R&D, and entrepreneurship are essential to sustaining a strong U.S. economy and maintaining a globally competitive workforce. To drive innovation, NASA partners with academia to tap into underutilized resources and expertise. Through the MSI Exchange, NASA raises awareness that fosters collaboration, advances our Mission, strengthens academic technical capacity, and helps build a competitive workforce for both NASA and the Nation.
